So... what will you want to change??

During one of our daily conversations in our way from Office back home, this came up... going back in time. If I'm given a chance to change something, what will I want to change?? I've still not decided on what to change... I'm putting forth the same question to you.... If you are given a chance to go back in time and change something, what would that be.... (See.. it shouldn't be anything that might create a grandfather paradox - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grandfather_paradox) It could be a simplest answer like "I would go back and mark the right answer in my 10th standard exam" to a very complex one.

The stage is all yours.... If you get a chance to go back in time... Where will you go back?? What will you want to change?? Mind you... You get only one chance...

I'll use this space to write about anything I think about.... Now you can ask me.. "Aren't you thinking anything at all??" All I could say is "he... he... he... "

My Mokkai Kavidhai-s.....

Before I start with my mokkai kavidhais, let me first explain the characteristics of mokkai kavaidhais –

How can you define a mokkai kavidhai or rather how can you find out a good mokkai kavidhai?

Here are 4 simple points which help you identify a good mokkai kavidhai –

1) The first line should not be related in any way to the second line.
2) You just have to pick words which are rhyming and use them wherever.
3) There should not be any underlying theme for the kavidhai.
4) After reading the kavidhai, the readers should bang their heads and say – “God! Why did you make me read this???”

Disclaimer – In some of my mokkai kavidhais, the 4th characteristic might be predominant and the poet/writer (Oops… I don’t know what a person who writes mokkai kavidhais is called…) is not responsible for any physical injuries suffered by the readers ;-)

Here are a few samples –

1) Infosys-le naan panren work-u…..
Thanni adicha varum kick-u....
Idhu theriyaati nee oru makku….

2) Mazhai penju road-elam thanni…
Kootama vandha adhu panni…
Naan super-a otuven Sunny…
Harry-oda jodi Ginny….

If you still have not banged your heads, here’s another chance

Some of my thathuvams –

1) Ena dhan Sun orange-a irundhalum… adhulendhu juice eduka mudiyuma???

2) Thunikadai-le thuni vangalam... Nagaikadai-le nagai vangalam.... Sakkadai-le saaku vanga mudiyuma???

Still not banged your head??? I appreciate your patience J

The cute lil’ attention seeker

I got an opportunity to spend some time with one of my manager’s 3 months old kid (Anishk) and it was jus’ awesome. There was a get together at my manager’s place yesterday and after a round of snacks, chit-chatting and cracking some jokes, we thought of watching a movie. All these times, one or the other of my colleagues was constantly holding the baby in their arms or just playing with him. Once the movie started, though it was not a good movie, no one was paying attention to Anishk now. He was kept on his comforter on the floor and I was sitting next to where he was lying down. Once the movie started, he was quiet for10-15 minutes, but then he understood that no one is paying attention to him, but to something else, he started becoming cranky. I was sitting on one side and his mom was sitting on the other. When he started getting cranky, we played with him for some 5 minutes. Once he calmed down, our eyes were glued to the TV again.

But I was watching him secretly, what he was doing. He was quiet again for 10-15 minutes, got cranky again. We played with him and he calmed down. This happened quite a number of times and this made me think. It struck me then that we strive so hard to get attention right from the moment we are born and that strive never ends through out. As a kid we used to cry to seek attention and as we grow we employ various means both good and bad to seek attention. But the ultimate goal is one - SEEK ATTENTION…..

Here comes Prash...

Well…Here come I, with my first blog. Ofcourse, I’ve posted some blogs on my company’s intranet, but this is my first shot in the public domain. Hmm.. What’d been stopping me from writing a blog for so many months (err.. should I say years??). Am thinking of some of the possible reasons – Could it be because I’m not so good at writing or could it be because I didn’t find interesting topics to write about or could it be… just plain laziness??? Well… it could be an AND gate or an OR gate. Who bothers??

Am thinking of using this blog space to write about anything I think about… So, probably one day you may find few recipes of some tasty, delicious, mouth watering dishes… (Few of them would be my inventions too.. ;-)) and the next day you may find a movie review and the next day a travelogue and the next day some mokkai kavidhais (mind you.. am pretty good at it ;-)).. and the next day.. and the next day.. and the next day…. OK.. I just wanted to say that am planning to write about things that come to my mind… that’s it…
